Matthew Sapaula is president of MatthewSapaula, Inc. , a Chicago-based, independent financial services firm that specializes in retirement planning, college funding and real estate equity management. This team of industry specialists design progressive financial strategies that challenge traditional wealth-building concepts and uncover hidden assets.


Their combined experience and customized approach help clients embrace innovative financial planning concepts which instill wealth-building habits, provide peace of mind and financial control, which ultimately lead clients closer to an abundant lifestyle.


Matthew Sapaula, began his career with a large brokerage firm in southern California after service in the military. Since then, he received instruction at DePaul University’s Financial Planning program and has been trained by senior experts in the financial planning industry. He was personally mentored in advanced financial strategies by New-York Times best-selling author, Douglas R. Andrew of Missed Fortune 101 and Last Chance Millionaire.


Matthew Sapaula has been nominated by his peers to Advisor Today magazine as one of the Top 40 Financial Advisors under 40 and included in the Who’s Who of Black Chicago. He is also a financial editor contributing articles for N’Digo Magapaper. Matthew is a recurring guest on WGN Morning News and FOX Good Day Chicago sharing financial tips to help people get ahead. He also wrote the foreword to Discovering Life’s Hidden Financial Treasures, authored by James Kraiss, CFPâ„¢ and featured in the Keeping Your American Dream DVD video education series.


For over a decade, Matthew Sapaula has educated the community, helped clients identify hidden assets and devise progressive strategies that turn missed opportunities into a second chance. The MatthewSapaula, Inc. team holds frequent tele-seminars, web conferences and live events that explore the myths and misconceptions of traditional wealth-building strategies and successful entrepreneurship.


Matthew Sapaula is a decorated military veteran for his service in Somalia, Africa and the Persian Gulf as a member of the United States Marine Corps. He credits his 10 years of service for the values, discipline, and organizational skills that he brings to the financial services industry.


Matthew Sapaula is also a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Chicago Executives’ Club, and American Cancer Society Planned Giving Network. He is a father of three who spends much of his free time with his children in various sporting and church ministry activities.
