Never did I think in a million years, would “author” be on my resume.  Thanks through the introduction of my radio producer, Mark Goldman, he set up a meeting with a book agent named Scott Spiewak of Fresh Impact Public Relations Group.

Mr. Spiewak did a great job of helping me consider writing a book, then consider which publisher would love to have me in their authors’ stable.  He had a representative of Destiny Image Publishers Inc, Joel Noeri, fly into Chicago to meet me for dinner.

God works in such amazing ways…here is a little irony.  Eight years ago, after church service at New Life Covenant in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood, I picked up a book written by Robert Katz, CPA who wrote Biblical Roads to Financial Freedom.  At that time in my life, I was personally in despair, my life was in disarray both emotionally and physically.  I never considered the spiritual aspect of my life, especially not combined with personal finances.  Anyway, I never paid attention to who the publisher of this book was, I just wanted more of what Robert Katz who was raised Jewish, would say about money and Jesus.

I ended up purchasing another book he wrote titled Money Came By the House One Day and just gobbled it up.  His work, his words, his experiences…changed my life.

To make a long story short, I came home from meeting with my new book agent, Scott Spiewak and publisher, Destiny Image Publishers Inc.  I ran downstairs to my library of books and broke out in a moment of prayers and thanksgiving as I envisioned one day, having my own book besides the books that have changed my life, i.e. Think and Grow Rich, How to Win Friends and Influence People, Rich Dad Poor Dad, to name a few.

I then picked up Robert Katz’s books and looked at the inside cover to see who his publisher was…it was Destiny Image Publishers Inc!

There is no coincidence, no “happens-to-be”… this is all God’s work!

Pardon My Dust…

Since I have to meet a book deadline in short order, my blog entries will have to subside for a little while.  In the meantime, I have enlisted the help of my friend and writer, Yolander Prinzel.  We are collaborating on this blog at MoneySmartRadio.com, to make sure you still get fresh new posts about how I see money.  Yolander and I seem to be cut from the same cloth, she is extremely talented and will help create new blog posts over the next few weeks.
